Trever James, a Los Angeles Film School graduate, has been selected as one of the 15 finalists on FOX’s nationally-televised reality show, "On the Lot."
James, who graduated with honors from The Los Angeles Film School in 2005, has survived three rounds of cuts since the show premiered.
After beating out a group of more than 12,000 applicants, James was one of 50 contestants that appeared in the show’s first episode. He then moved into the next round, where he completed a short film with two other contestants in less than one day.
From there, James and 17 others were chosen as finalists who individually produced a one-minute film that was voted on by the public. In the most recent episode, three contestants were cut based on their films.
The reality series, which was conceived by director Steven Spielberg and reality television producer Mark Burnett, will continue each week with a one-hour episode on Mondays, followed by a half-hour results show on Tuesdays. The winning contestant will earn a $1-million development deal at DreamWorks.
The next show of the reality series is set to air Monday, June 4 at 8 p.m. EST/PST on FOX.
