Big Screen Entertainment Signs 'Fat Actress' Co-Star to the Cast of 'The Mirror'

reported by Dana Horton, CyberScreenwriter.com

(TM) Big Screen Entertainment Big Screen Entertainment has signed Bryan Callen to the cast of BSEG's feature film, "The Mirror." Bryan's previous credits include co-starring in the Kirstie Alley show "Fat Actress," HBO's "Sex and the City" and "Oz," as well as being an original cast member of "Mad TV." Bryan's feature films include the mega hits "Bad Santa" and "Old School."

In "The Mirror," Callen plays Harvey Mancini, a sleazy producer who is searching for buried treasure left by 1930s film legend Johnny Rambova. "Bryan brings such humor and likability to a difficult part. His character is hustling everyone, yet he manages to be menacing and funny all in one," said Stephen Eckelberry, the film's director and BSEG's VP of production.

Also joining the cast is Sarah Farooqui, who recently was seen in the BBC America TV show, "Mile High" as one of the leads as well as BBC's "The Bill," "Happiness" and "First Degree." "Sarah is a beautiful, young actress with a brilliant sense of timing," stated Eckelberry. She plays the role of "Bambi," a model and Internet cyberspace girl who is scheming with Harvey (Bryan Callen) to find the buried treasure.

"We've assembled a fantastic cast of actors that are really performing well. Currently the film is under budget and on time," stated CEO Kimberley Kates.

A behind-the-scenes movie is also being shot concurrently with the filming of "The Mirror," which is in production in Los Angeles. The film also stars Kelly LeBrock ("Woman in Red," "Hard to Kill," "Weird Science"), Thaao Penghlis and Erin Jessica Cahill.

In addition to "The Mirror," Big Screen is close to completion of the Gus Van Sant executive produced film, "Lightfield's Home Videos," featuring Juliette Lewis, Giovanni Ribisi, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Beck, Geoffrey Lewis and Leah Remini.
